Snacking For Successful Lactation!

Milk Cookies

Eating a healthy balanced diet of vegetables, fruit, whole grains and protein are essential to providing your baby the most nutritious milk you can produce.

When it comes to snacking continue eating a variety of fruits and vegetables, however adding homemade lactation cookies (and more!) will dramatically increase your supply!  Of course consult your lactation specialist if you are experiencing difficulties with production, and make yourself a batch of these yummy cookies!

Enjoy, and please don’t be shy eat 4-6 cookies daily! Let us know how your doing!!

1 Cup Butter

3/4 Cup Brown Sugar

1 Egg

1 Tbsp Vanilla

2 Tbsp Flax seed meal +2.5 Tbsp water (soak together)

1 Cup Flour

2 Tbsp Brewers Yeast

1/2 tsp Salt

1 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 tsp Baking Powder

1 1/2 Cups Old Fashioned Oats

1/2 Cup Chocolate chips (white or chocolate)

1/2 Cup Dried Cranberries (or raisins)

Soak Flax Seed Meal and Water

Cream Butter and Brown Sugar

Add Egg and Vanilla

Add Flax mixture

Add Flour, Brewers Yeast, Salt, Cinnamon & Baking Powder

Add Oats

Then Add Cranberries and Chocolate Chips

Bake 350 for 8 minutes, allow to cool for 1 minute on cookie sheet.  Enjoy!!
